Understanding Public Health

We simply define public health as an art and science of preventing diseases, promoting health and prolonging life but the exact meaning of public health is very vague to a general people to professionals. Its really difficult to demarcate the area of public health and even professionals are confused regarding its implication, scope. Public health attempts to comprise the past and present history of health status of the people, factors affecting it, health services to public, many endeavor to improve the health status, experiments for the future and it establishes evidence based knowledge for well being of the people.
